Marine invertebrate of the phylum
Echinodermata (`spiny-skinned'), with a basic
body structure divided into five sectors.
Included are starfishes (or sea stars),
brittlestars, sea-lilies, sea-urchins, and
sea-cucumbers. The skeleton is external, made
of a series of limy plates, and echinoderms
generally move by using tube-feet, small
water-filled sacs that can be protruded or
pulled back to the body.
